Arapahoe County makes its biggest ever open-space purchase

Arapahoe County last month purchased 2,800 acress of open space, the largest acquisition ever under the county’s open-space program. 

The county paid $2.69M for the Bradbury Bijou Creek Ranch, a family cattle grazing operation near Byers since 1958.

The land, about 50 miles east of Denver is bordered by 12,000 acres of conserved lands, including the West Bijou Conservation Easement to the east and Plains Conservation Center to the south.

8th Annual 2010 Celebrity Hunt for a Cure

huntforacure045Live Water Properties sponsored the “Celebrity Hunt for a Cure” 8th annual pheasant hunt, held October 1-3, 2010 at the Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge on Lake Oahe.  The annual event is produced by Hunter’s Dream for a Cure Foundation, created by Robb and Wendy Nelson of Colorado in memory of their son, Hunter.  Hunter had the rare brain disease Sturge-Weber Syndrome and died unexpectedly of a seizure in May 2005.  He was five years old.  » More: 8th Annual 2010 Celebrity Hunt for a Cure
